BookStores & Business Owners
Consignment opportunities for local businesses do not have to sound so bad. Although books by KD Storm are available through IngramSpark, let us discuss how we can work irresistible consignment deals. Here it is:
Imagine your brick and mortar, filled with people, excited at being a part of an event that feels like an Academy Award or other Hollywood event. Imagine having the red carpet drawn out, leading to a beautiful backdrop of a KD Storm logo and/or book cover banner. Meet-and-greets along with photo-ops add to the excitement. KD Storm is mingling with fans and customers as they flood your store. Many of the consumers are probably visiting this business establishment for the first time. They admire your establishment for holding an event they can be a part of.
Compare that scene, to plainly stocking your shelves with books, plugging authors in a corner, having them read to a handful of attendees, and signing books.
Although, I am up for the latter, progressive business minds might try the former consignment opportunity.
Books will be sold one of two ways:
1. KD Storm and his affiliates will be responsible for providing the books, making the sales, and distributing a portion of the profit to the hosting business (usually $2/book). In addition, in an effort to further promote your business, KD Storm will offer discounts of the books for any customer who shows a receipt of purchase from your establishment date stamped for that day's event.
2. KD Storm and his affiliates will sell the establishment, directly, any number of copies of the book at $3 over the author cost, leaving ample room for profit. Example, each book costs the author $5. The business will purchase the book from KD Storm and his affiliates for $8. The business will then sell the books for their desired cost; the going online rate is approximately 12.95 ($14 with shipping). At the end of the event, the business can decide to sell the remaining books back to KD Storm and his affiliates for $8, amounting to a refund, or keep them for future sales. Also, the bookstore has the option of selling/refunding the books back to KD Storm and his affiliates for the original purchase price at a later date. KD Storm and his affiliates want to ensure complete satisfaction from anyone entering into a business agreement with them.
In the end, this is a win-win situation. Profits from orders via IngramSpark are marginal, at best. Local bookstores and businesses are presented with these opportunities, that other nationwide distributors may not have. Thank you for your consideration.
